UFCW_PrideFlag_LOCAL1000A_JPEGLocal 1000A is proud to announce our union's participation in Pride Weekend!

Visit our booths (on Alexander Street near Church) on June 30 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday and from noon to 10 p.m. on Sunday, July 1.

The Pride Parade will be taking place on Sunday, July 1. Local 1000A marchers will be gathering the staging location at 2:45 p.m. (EXACTLY) at Bloor Street at Ted Rogers Way. Look for our UFCW gold flags.

“Our brothers and sisters in the LGBTQ community need to know they are not alone, that their union will be with them every step of the way to fight for a world free of prejudice and discrimination,” Local 1000A President Pearl Sawyer said.

Directions to Parade Starting Point: Exit at Sherbourne Station and walk west on Bloor St. until you see our UFCW gold flags. If you are driving and need information on parking, please visit http://www.ttc.ca/Riding_the_TTC/Parking/index.jsp or www.greenp.com/.

*Note: As pride festivities bring thousands of people to downtown Toronto, please give yourself plenty of time for travel.
