LEUKEMIA-LOGOUFCW Canada Local 1000A is proud to congratulate the Ottawa Retail Franchise Division for its hard work and dedication in raising $1,320 in the fight against Leukemia & Lymphoma.

The division undertook multiple initiatives last year, including a TV raffle, book sales, and a bake sale to fundraise for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada. “All in all, we are very pleased and happy with everyone who participated in all these initiatives,” said Gord Knowles, President of the Ottawa Retail Franchise Division. “Without their support, we wouldn’t have been able to do what we did.”

The division raised $79.65 through the book sale and $287 through the bake sale. The TV raffle generated $954 and the winning ticket belonged to Sebastian Aguanno.

“I want to say a big thank you to everyone who helped sell tickets and to everyone who bought tickets,” Knowles said.

The Ottawa Retail Franchise Divisional officers are President Gord Knowles from Laura’s YIG in Kanata, Vice-President Kathy White from Riverside Market in Pembroke, and Secretary-Treasurer Marilyn Trincao from Laura’s YIG in Kanata.

Thank to Gord, Kathy and Marilyn for their efforts and to all those who supported this worthy cause.
