Union Representative, Organizing
Prior to joining the local union in March 2016, Tania worked for progressive politicians at the municipal and federal levels, as well as on a number of NDP election campaigns across the GTA. During her time in the City Councillors’ and the Member of Parliament’s offices, Tania worked extensively with constituents and local community groups on community development, environment, housing and immigration issues. As a member of the Toronto & York Region Labour Council Chinese Workers Network steering committee, Tania has been involved in organizing union activists in the Chinese Canadian community and engaging them politically. Tania holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance and Economics specialist) from the University of Toronto. She is fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese.
