Ontario's Union for fairness, equality and respect at work.

UFCW Canada Local 1006A continues to make life better for workers across Ontario, as union members at Sofina Foods ratified a new union contract with several gains.

Ratified on February 11, 2018, the contract runs to December 31, 2021 and covers approximately 200 workers.

“As Ontario’s best union, we are proud to provide members in the food processing sector with outstanding union representation that puts them first,” said President Wayne Hanley. "1006A members know they can count on our union negotiators to fight for their best interests at the bargaining table. Despite a difficult set of negotiations, I want to congratulate our negotiating committee for their hard work in achieving a union contract that improves and protects our members’ rights.”

Highlights of New Contract.
