I am proud and honoured to have been elected by the membershipto serve as President of our Local Union for the next four years.
I thank you for placing your faith in me and our executive officers – Secretary-Treasurer Tony Soares, Executive Vice-President Kevin Benn and Recorder Dan Gilbert.
You have our commitment that we will continue to work tirelessly to protect, defend and improve your rights at your workplace and beyond.
Our democratic process is an integral part of our union and I want to thank all the candidates who participated in this election and those who volunteered in various roles.
Member activism and engagement is critical to a strong union and I want to commend all our members who took the time to vote in this election. By exercising this democratic right, you have made your voices heard and strengthened our great union.
Your participation is needed more now than ever as we face the challenges ahead.
