Update: Security guards in Ontario have achieved a major victory, thanks to the advocacy work of UFCW 1006A and the labour movement.
Irine Reji was in tears when she found out she won a UFCW 1006A scholarship.
UFCW 1006A is welcoming stewards from across Ontario to our fall Stewards’ Training courses at the union office.
“The majority of the voting population are workers like us, and we want to make sure working-class voices are heard by politicians,” said Emily Boyer, a union steward at the Whitby Superstore.
