UFCW 1006A members at Wilson’s YIG in Ottawa continue to improve their rights and livelihoods as they achieved new gains in their new union contract.

The term of the agreement is from January 16, 2022 to January 16, 2027 and covers 96 members. 

“UFCW 1006A empowers workers through union representation, by providing them the strength and ability to transform their working conditions and livelihoods,” said President Wayne Hanley. “Members at Wilson’s YIG benefit from knowledgeable and skilled negotiators who work tirelessly on their behalf. I’m proud to congratulate our negotiating committee for their hard work and I want to thank our members for their support through this process.” 

The union negotiating committee included members, Chris Ross, David Smith and Executive Assistant to the President Paul Docherty and Union Representative Jackie Graticola.
