In the long battle for racial justice, a glimmer of hope appeared this week as an American jury found former police officer, Derek Chauvin, guilty of murder and manslaughter in the death of George Floyd.

Equal Pay Day is April 7, 2021. The date marks the extra days and months in 2021 that a woman must work, on average to make the same as a man did in 2020. 

UFCW 1006A members at NexCycle Plastics Brampton have voted to ratify a new union contract with gains, after successfully fighting back during negotiations against company proposals which would have negatively impacted members.

Wage increases and vacation improvements were among the gains achieved by 1006A members in their new union contract with K-Bro Linen. 

Members at Frulact Canada have recently voted for their first union contract, after joining the union last August.
