UFCW Canada Local 1006A was created through a historic merger between UFCW Canada Local 1000A and UFCW Canada Local 206.
Local 1006A’s roots date back to 1944. As more members have joined and through subsequent mergers, Local 1006A grown from a small volunteer-based union to one of the largest local unions in Ontario.
