UFCW 1006A members from across the province are working hard every day to serve their communities. 

We want to hear from you and share your stories on how your union has made a difference in your life. 

With your entry, you will be eligible to win a monthly prize of $100 in President’s Choice (PC) gift cards. All of the monthly winners will be entered into a Grand Prize Draw for $300 in PC gift cards.

How has your union helped you through a workplace challenge? 

What language/right in your union contract makes the biggest impact in your life – job security provisions, strong bereavement leave language, increased vacation entitlement, etc.? 

How has your union improved the health and safety of your workplace?

Contest Rules

• Entries must include your full name, workplace location, cell phone number, and email address.
• Contest open to active UFCW Canada Local 1006A members only.
• Members can enter multiple times but each entry must be unique. 
• Entries, which are not successful, will be considered for all remaining contest months.
• Monthly winners will be announced by the middle of the following month. (ie. January winner will be announced in February).
• Only monthly winners will be eligible for the Grand Prize Draw of $300 in PC Gift Cards, announced in January 2027.
• Contest for Monthly Winners Runs from January 1, 2026 to December 31, 2026.
• UFCW Canada Local 1006A may reproduce winning submissions in whole or in part, along with your name and photo, on our website and social media and in our magazine.
