In response to many membership requests for more voting opportunities, your union has scheduled additional poll dates to provide Loblaws Great Food and Superstore members who have not been able to cast their ballot on the tentative memorandum of agreement a chance to do so.

Two additional voting days have been scheduled for Friday, June 19 and Saturday, June 20.

These polls have been scheduled because your union has received many requests from members for additional voting opportunities as they were not able to make the previously scheduled meetings. Many others have also told us they were not aware there was a vote on their contract. These factors have led to lower voter turnout.

Your union believes scheduling additional polls is a fair and equitable response to the requests we received from members. We believe facilitating our members' requests is the right thing to do as the results of the vote have implications for all of our members covered under the collective agreement.

We thank all of those who have already participated in the process so far and if you know others who haven’t voted yet, please encourage them to do so.

We respect your right to vote as you wish and we respect your decision.  Your union negotiating committee is unanimously recommending the tentative memorandum of agreement. We believe we have negotiated all that there is to be had without strike action.

In addition, on Tuesday of this week, in response to members’ requests, your union has, for the first time in our history while ratification meetings were still underway, also released a copy of the tentative Memorandum of Agreement on the union website.

Please see below for detailed information on the polls. Please vote at a poll that is most convenient for you.

Once again, thank you to all of those who have participated in the process so far and we look forward to more of our members taking part in forming the overall membership decision on your contract.

Remember: It’s your job!  It’s your pay!  It's your decision!  It's your vote!
