"My name is Kathy Matthews and I work at Harry's No Frills in Parry Sound Ontario as a cashier. I had a heart attack in November 18, 2015 and was allowed to return to work the end of December to small size shifts 3 days a week. I now take 8 medications because of my heart attack and they are costly. But I'm thrilled with my benefit plan that pays 90 percent of them. I wouldn't have these benefits had our union not gotten it for us in a contract. It still is a HUGE BLESSING TO ME to have only 10 percent to pay. Without this benefit, I do not know if I could afford to get these medications and they are necessary for me. So I'm a grateful union member and happily say so. I have now been able to increase my hours to my normal ones I had before my heart attack and I'm thrilled. I work for the best retailer in Parry Sound and I am a part of the best union."
