Ontarians head to the polls for a provincial election on February 27, 2025.
Is your candidate prepared to answer the call on Affordability?
As housing and food costs skyrocket across Ontario and wages struggle to keep pace, Ontarians from all walks of life are feeling the strain. The affordability crisis isn't just a set of statistics—it's a reality for families deciding between paying rent, buying groceries, or affording medication; students burdened by crushing debt; and seniors anxiously watching their retirement savings dwindle.
This election, your vote can make a difference. Help us build an Ontario where everyone can afford to live with dignity and security. It’s time to ensure that affordability isn’t just a dream—it’s a right for all Ontarians.
Why it Matters
Ontario’s affordability crisis affects communities’ well-being, health, and access to opportunities. Women, Indigenous peoples, racialized communities, and low-income groups in Ontario are disproportionately impacted, facing greater challenges in securing stable housing and fair wages.
In Ontario’s cities, like Toronto and Ottawa and their suburbs, housing prices are skyrocketing, and too many families are spending more than half of their income just to keep a roof over their heads. At the same time, essential costs like food, transportation, and healthcare are becoming unaffordable for working people. When wages don’t keep pace with these rising costs, it creates an unrelenting cycle of financial insecurity.

Ask the Candidates: What Will You Do About Affordability?
As Ontarians head to the polls, we need to ask the candidates: What will you do to address the affordability crisis in our province?
Affordable Housing: Will you commit to a bold, provincial plan to tackle Ontario’s housing crisis? How will you ensure that housing is accessible and affordable for all, not just the wealthy?
Fair Wages: Will you ensure that workers in Ontario receive a living wage that allows them to meet basic needs and plan for the future? What policies will you put in place to ensure that all workers are treated fairly and paid equitably?
Support for Vulnerable Communities: How will you support Ontario’s most vulnerable populations—seniors, students, low-income families, and marginalized communities—who are hit hardest by rising living costs?
Addressing Corporate Tax Evasion: Will you hold the ultra-wealthy and corporations accountable for paying their fair share to help fund the services Ontarians rely on?
