Husandeep's Story
"Being a member of UFCW Local 1006A has made a meaningful difference in my work life. As a frontline worker, I have faced physically demanding tasks and health-related challenges at work. During a difficult time when I was experiencing pain and required medical attention, I felt unsure about my rights and job security. My union provided me with the confidence and support I needed. Because of the language in our collective agreement, I was able to take medically required time off without fear of losing my job. Knowing that my position was protected reduced a lot of stress and allowed me to focus on my recovery."
