Ontario's Union for fairness, equality and respect at work.

After joining 1006A last year, workers at Compass Group (Rogers) have achieved their first union contract.

The new contract, runs from May 15, 2018 to April 30, 2021 and covers 82 members.

“When we welcomed workers from Compass Group (Rogers) to our union last year, we said we will help them achieve fairness at work," said President Wayne Hanley. "With this first contract, we have done just that. Congratulations to our negotiating committee for working together with the membership to secure a strong first contract with several gains.”

Negotiations were led by Director (Central Region) Don Taylor with support from Union Representative Frank Mensah, and members Nacy Moniz, Paramus Maunaguru and Maggie Williams.

“I want to thank our membership for their solidarity and support and our negotiating team for their hardwork and dedication,” said Taylor. "By working together united, we were able to achieve a strong first contract for our members at Compass Group (Rogers).”
