Ontario's Union for fairness, equality and respect at work.

UFCW 1006A members at Frulact in Kingston have ratified a new union contract.

“I think it was a fantastic contract, and I was over the moon about it,” said Brandon McIntyre, a member of the negotiating committee. “It took us a good amount of legwork and a lot of back and forth with the company.”

The term of the contract is February 2, 2025 to February 2, 2026 and covers approximately 70 members.

“The vast majority of the members were surprised and pleased with what we accomplished,” said McIntyre.

The negotiating committee included members, Justin Flaro, Brandon McIntyre, Michelle Wilson, Tren Woods, Executive Assistant to the President Paul Docherty, and Union Representative, Gloria Elstone.

“I am proud to congratulate our members at Frulact on their new union contract,” said President Wayne Hanley. “The power of the union advantage is evident in the fair contracts we negotiate and enforce. I want to thank our members for their support and participation during this process.”
