UFCW 1006A is proud to welcome stewards across Ontario for our fall Stewards Training at the union office.
Our education and training program empowers activists with the knowledge and skills to help their co-workers.
1006A is offering a variety of different courses for the 2025 fall session.
Instructors include longtime stewards Lorrie Russell and Penny Patterson.
“The majority of the voting population are workers like us, and we want to make sure working-class voices are heard by politicians,” said Emily Boyer, a union steward at the Whitby Superstore.
“It was a fantastic contract and the members voted overwhelmingly for it,” said member Mekonnen Geresin.
