
UFCW 1006A members at the Red Lobster restaurant in Burlington have voted to ratify a new union contract.
The term of the contract is from December 1, 2024 to November 30, 2027 and covers 55 members.
“I think the new contract was fair and reasonable,” said Meredith Rudd, a member of the negotiating committee.
The negotiating committee included members, Karl Drowns, Wendy Leighman, Meredith Rudd, Regional Director Don Taylor and Union Representative Michael Hurley.
“I want to recognize our negotiating committee members for their hard work and dedication throughout this process,” said President Wayne Hanley.
Highlights
- Wage Increases of $1.71 to $2.03 per hour over the term of the contract (applicable to majority of members)
- Retroactive Pay for Hosts, Bartenders/To Go Servers, Utility Persons, Expeditors (Expo), and Line Cooks
- Improved bereavement leave language
- A new letter of understanding with the company committing to properly staff the restaurant
- Existing tip-out language will be maintained
