
UFCW 1006A members, who work as office staff at Kintetsu World Express (KWE) in Brampton, have ratified their first union contract.
The term of the contract is from December 21, 2025 to December 20, 2028 and covers eight members working in a variety of roles, including Inventory Control Specialist, Distribution Administrator, Customer Service Representative and Operations Assistant.
“UFCW 1006A continues to be Ontario’s leading union for workers seeking fairness, protection and respect at work,” said President Wayne Hanley. “The support and participation of our members were vital in helping us achieve a fair union contract.”
The negotiating committee included members, Anjali Anjali, Mercelle Peniston and Union Representatives Joe Blythe and Joshua Robichaud.
