UFCW 1006A members at Embassy Suites Toronto Airport have ratified a new union contract.
“It is a good contract — we had to fight hard to get what we want,” said Lincent Barrett, a member of the negotiating committee. “Our members are happy with the contract.”
The term of the agreement is April 12, 2026 to April 11, 2030 and covers 82 members.
The negotiating committee included members, Lincent Barrett and Sathianathan Sanmuganathan, and Union Representative, Daiana Dumitru.
“UFCW 1006A is proud of our strong track record of helping hotel workers achieve fairness and rights at work,” said President Wayne Hanley. “The support of our members and the hard work of our negotiating committee were instrumental in helping us achieve a strong union contract.”
