UFCW 1006A members at the Baton Rouge Grillhouse & Bar in Ottawa have ratified a new union contract.

The term of the agreement is from July 30, 2026 to May 14, 2029 and covers 38 members.

"Overall, we came out with a good and fair deal through a challenging process,” said Carla Scharf, a member of the negotiating committee.

President Wayne Hanley congratulated the members at Baton Rouge on their new union contract.

“Our members continue to inspire us with their strength and determination as they continue to achieve improvements and gains with each new contract,” said President Hanley. “By working together and supporting each other, they are showing the transformative impact of union representation in the restaurant sector.”

The negotiating committee included members, Andrew Lach, Carla Scharf and Alicia Quan and Union Representative, John Conway.
