Ontario's Union for fairness, equality and respect at work.

UFCW Canada Local 1006A stands in solidarity with the Muslim Canadian communities in condemning the violent hate-motivated attack, which left four family members dead and one child injured in London, Ontario.

London police have indicated that the victims were murdered and injured in the targeted vehicle attack because they were Muslim. The family was out for a walk when they were killed.

“Hate must have no place in our communities and must be condemned,” said President Wayne Hanley. “Our hearts are with the young boy, who is grieving the devastating loss of his family. We stand in solidarity with the Muslim Canadian communities during this difficult time and are committed to ending Islamophobia and hate in our society.”

The UFCW Canada Local 1006A family grieves with our sisters, brothers and friends in the London community and across Canada.

“We encourage all members to be allies against hate, racism and discrimination in our society,” said President Wayne Hanley. “Do not look away. Do not forget. Ending hate will take all of us working together for change."
