Loblaws and Superstore Relationship Building Update

During the last year, meetings were held across the province as part of the Relationship Building Program for 1006A members working at Loblaws Great Food and Superstore.

UFCW Canada Local 1006A congratulates Growth Coordinator Jonathan Lobo on being elected to serve as the new Treasurer/Financial Secretary of the Coalition of Black Trade Unionists – Ontario Canada Chapter.

UFCW Canada Local 1006A is proud to congratulate the confirmed recipients of our Scholarship Program. Forty-two scholarships, worth $500 each, will be awarded to 1006A members or children/dependents.

On December 6, UFCW Canada Local 1006A activists, staff and officers came together together at a Shoe Memorial for the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women.

Health & Safety Representative Rick Young presented on Bill 132 at the Stewards’ Conference. The Bill amends a number of statutes in the Occupational Health and Safety Act pertaining to sexual violence, sexual harassment, and domestic violence.
