In honour of Black History Month, long-time 1006A steward Audrey worked tirelessly to create a massive window display in her workplace lunchroom to raise awareness about the achievements and struggles of Black people across North America.

The rainbow colours and the drag queens were out in full force for this year’s virtual pride event.

Shoeboxes full of the holiday spirit are making their way to local women’s shelters in Ottawa and Pembroke, thanks to UFCW 1006A’s women issues network activists and staff. 

1006A activists are coming together for the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, by raising awareness in their workplaces and communities.
