Pred was a loved and respected member of the UFCW Canada union family.
He was a long-time union member and a union activist of more than 25 years. He joined in 1978 when he started working at Canada Packers. Most recently he worked at Nitta Gelatin.
Pred served as a Vice-President on UFCW Canada Local 1006A’s Executive Board. He was also an instructor at the local, training many union stewards. He also served on numerous sets of union negotiating committees - all in an effort to make life better for his co-workers and working people throughout Ontario.
He also loved participating in the local union's Ride for a Cure, a motorcycle ride fundraiser in support of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada.
Pred was great union activist who was loved by many. Thank you for making a difference in the lives of workers and all the work you did volunteering to make the world a better place.
