Improvements to benefits, wages, bereavement language, job vacancy processes, and shift selection are among the key achievements in the new contract ratified on September 27 by Local 1000A members working for HMS Host.
The union bargaining committee and the company met again on August 23. Negotiations broke off August 24 while each side continues to consider the issues at hand.
Local 1000A’s No Frills Bargaining Committee has requested the appointment of a conciliation officer to assist at upcoming meetings. In the meantime, the committee met with company officials on July 26 and July 27 and previously on July 14 and July 15.
