In 1996, Jackie began working at Loblaws as a pharmacy assistant. A steward since 2000, Jackie has worked at several stores in the Ottawa area. She is a member of our Pride Advisory Committee, and an Executive Member of UFCW International’s OUTreach Pride Constituency Group. She has also worked as a Special Projects Union Representative for the union, representing members at their workplaces and helping members with their issues and concerns. She is inspired to stand up against injustice in the workplace and in the world of politics. Today, she works as a Union Representative – Servicing with the local union. Jackie is also fluent in Spanish.
