UFCW Canada Local 1006A was proud to celebrate Toronto Pride from July 1 to July 3, 2016. Members, activists and staff joined more than a million Pride participants for the Trans March on July 1, Dyke March on July 2 and the Pride Parade on July 3.
Join your union, UFCW Canada Local 1006A, in raising money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada (LLSC) by participating in our annual Ride for a Cure on Saturday, August 20, 2016. Participants and passengers will take an enjoyable motorcycle ride through Ontario's most beautiful country roads for a good cause.
Last year, our the Ride raised $8,000 to help the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada achieve their mission.
UFCW Canada Local 1006A is proud to have raised $100,006 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada in the past year.
The money was raised through union events and member fundraising initiatives across Ontario.
UFCW Canada Local 1006A hosted its first Members’ Day at Canada’s Wonderland on June 18, 2016.
“It was amazing to connect with so many of our members—thank you to everyone who came out and made Local 1006A’s Member’s Day such a success,” said President Wayne Hanley.
